How many months since Eid al-Adha 2025?

Eid al-Adha in plain numbers

As of Thursday, October 1, 2026, Eid al-Adha was 482 days ago. Put another way, that is 68 full weeks and 6 extra days, about 15 calendar months, or 11,568 hours if you count from midnight. The date lands on a Friday, in ISO week 23 of 2025, and it is day 157 of 365 in that year.

This page is not a snapshot. The figures are recalculated every time it loads, using the Asia/Karachi time zone, so tomorrow the count will be one day larger. If you bookmark the page you will always see the current gap rather than the number that was true on the day you saved it, and nobody has to edit anything for that to stay correct.

Planning around the date

For work and school planning the useful numbers are working days and weekends. Between Eid al-Adha and today there are 344 weekdays (Monday to Friday), 69 Saturdays and 69 Sundays. Take out public holidays in your region and you have a realistic count of working days that passed. If you were paid every two weeks over that stretch, that is about 34 pay cycles.

Some people prefer to break a long wait into stages. The quarter mark of the range is Saturday, October 4, 2025, the halfway point is Monday, February 2, 2026, and the three-quarter mark is Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Eid al-Adha sits 43% of the way through 2025. There are 68 Fridays in the range, which is handy if your deadlines or deliveries land at the end of the week.

About Eid al-Adha

The first day of Eid al-Adha, computed from the Umm al-Qura Hijri calendar. Because Eid al-Adha is a religious observance, many families organize travel, meals, services and time off around it. Congregations usually publish their own schedules, so treat the date here as the calendar date and confirm local timings with your community.

Eid al-Adha follows the Islamic lunar calendar, whose months last 29 or 30 days. The date here comes from the tabular Hijri calendar; when a community sights the crescent moon locally, the observed date can differ by a day.

Eid al-Adha in other years

In the coming years Eid al-Adha falls on: Wednesday, May 27, 2026 (127 days ago); Sunday, May 16, 2027 (227 days from today); Friday, May 5, 2028 (582 days from today); Tuesday, April 24, 2029 (936 days from today). Last year it fell on Sunday, June 16, 2024. Comparing the weekdays shows how the holiday drifts through the week, which matters when you plan long weekends, school breaks and travel that depends on which day of the week it lands.

What comes next

The next major date after Eid al-Adha is Father's Day on Sunday, June 15, 2025, 9 days later. If you are planning a stretch of several weeks, it helps to know where the next break or deadline falls so you can space out your commitments.

Eid al-Adha: last time, next time and next year

The most recent Eid al-Adha was Wednesday, May 27, 2026, 127 days ago (18 weeks and 1 day); the next one is Sunday, May 16, 2027, 227 days from today (32 weeks and 3 days). These results move forward on their own: once a date has passed, the page switches to the next occurrence, so the same address stays correct in every year and you never need to look for a year-specific page. The table under the key figures lists the same dates with their weekdays.

Using this months-since counter

A months-since counter counts complete calendar months from the most recent occurrence of the date to today: it stops at the same day of the month as the original date, or one month earlier if that day has not arrived yet. The remainder in days is shown so you can see how close the next full month is.
